Orthogonal projection

Orthogonal projection is a way of getting from one point to another without going too far. It's like using a map to get from point A to point B. You plan out your route so that you take the most direct route and don't take any extra steps. Orthogonal projection is similar but instead of using a map, it's using a line. It's a way of drawing a line so that it backs up to the starting point, but at an angle, so that you can get to the endpoint. It's like walking up or down a hill. You want to take the most direct route, so you'll go straight up or straight down. That's the same idea as orthogonal projection.
