Our Lady of the Thirty-Three
Okay kiddo, you know how sometimes people really look up to someone and think they are so special and important? Well, in some places, there is a lady who is very special to a group of people. Her name is Our Lady of the Thirty-Three.
Now, Our Lady of the Thirty-Three is a very important lady to some people in Uruguay, which is a country in South America. See, a long time ago, there were 33 men who were very sick and they needed a lot of help. But, they couldn't get better on their own. They needed someone special to help them. So, they prayed to a lady they believed was very special and important, and she helped them get better!
The people in Uruguay started to think that this lady was so kind and amazing for helping those 33 men, that they wanted to honor her. And so, they started calling her Our Lady of the Thirty-Three. They built a special chapel for her where people could go and pray to her, and they even made a big celebration every year to show how much they love her.
Even though some people might not understand why some people think that Our Lady of the Thirty-Three is so special, it's important to remember that everyone has things that they believe in and look up to. And that's okay!
