ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Overseas France

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of France before? It's a country in Europe with really yummy food and beautiful sights to see.

But did you know that France isn't just in Europe? They actually have some really cool places in other parts of the world too, kind of like when we go on vacation and see different places.

These places are called "Overseas France" and they are part of France, but they're located in other parts of the world. Some of these places include French Guiana in South America, Martinique in the Caribbean, and Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean.

Even though they're far away, they still use the French language, have French culture, and people who live there are French citizens! So it's like a little piece of France in another part of the world.

Pretty cool, right? Now you know that France is not just in Europe, but also has some really cool places all over the world!
