Oxford and Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition
Okay, so Oxford and Cambridge are two really old and really fancy universities in England. A long time ago, in 1932, a group of really smart and adventurous people from these universities went on a big trip to a place far, far away called the Far East.
They wanted to explore and study all sorts of things there, like plants, animals, people, and the environment. They traveled through lots of different countries like China, India, and Burma, which are also super far away from England.
The people on the trip had to go through lots of challenges, like really hot weather, dangerous animals, and sometimes even getting lost. But they were really brave and worked together to keep going.
When they got back to England, they shared all of the things they learned and discovered with lots of other smart people. And now, there are still people who study and learn from what the Oxford and Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition team did so many years ago. Pretty cool, huh?
