Pálinka is a special type of alcohol that comes from Hungary. Imagine you have some yummy fruit like apples or plums. Pálinka is made by taking these fruits and squishing them in a special machine called a press. This makes a yummy juice.
But the juice isn’t quite ready to be pálinka yet. We need to make it a little bit stronger. So we put the juice in a big pot and heat it up until the steam comes out. We catch the steam and turn it back into liquid. This new liquid is very strong and has a lot of alcohol in it.
Finally, we put the liquid into a special bottle and let it sit for a long time. This makes the pálinka even tastier. When it’s ready, you can pour a little bit into a glass and sip it slowly. But be careful, it’s very strong!
