Paddan Aram

Paddan Aram is a place that is mentioned in the Bible. It's a bit like a city or a town, but in a different country called Mesopotamia which is now part of modern-day Syria.

A long, long time ago, a man named Jacob had to run away from his home because his brother was mad at him. Jacob's mom told him to go to Paddan Aram and find a wife from his mom's family.

Jacob arrived in Paddan Aram and met a beautiful lady named Rachel who was his mom's cousin. Jacob ended up staying in Paddan Aram for many years, working for Rachel's dad and marrying not just Rachel but also her older sister, Leah.

So Paddan Aram is an important place in the story of Jacob in the Bible where he traveled to find a wife and ended up staying and building a family.
