Pagoda of Fogong Temple

The Pagoda of Fogong Temple is a very old and special building in China that was made a long time ago, almost 1,000 years ago! It's located in a place called Ying County, in the Shanxi Province of China.

A pagoda is a kind of tall building with many levels, almost like a tower. The Pagoda of Fogong Temple has nine levels! It’s very big and looks like a giant lollipop or a giant tower of pancakes.

The people who built this pagoda were really special because they did it all by hand, using bricks and wood. They didn't use any machines like we have today. They made the bricks and put them together really carefully to make sure the pagoda was strong and wouldn't fall down. They also used wooden beams and supports to hold it all up.

The Pagoda of Fogong Temple is special because it has stood the test of time (almost 1,000 years!) and has survived many earthquakes, wars and other natural disasters. Even though it's very old, it still looks very beautiful and well taken care of.

People can visit the Pagoda of Fogong Temple today and see this amazing building for themselves. It's a very important part of Chinese history and culture, and people from all around the world come to see it and learn more about it.
