Palatine (Kingdom of Hungary)

Okay kiddo, there was a place a long time ago called the Kingdom of Hungary. It was ruled by a king, just like a castle is ruled by a king or queen. Part of the Kingdom of Hungary was a special area called Palatine. Now, the Palatine was a person who was like the king's helper in that area. They helped make decisions and keep things running smoothly. It's kind of like having a big brother or sister who helps you with stuff sometimes. So the Palatine was really important in the Kingdom of Hungary, just like your big brother or sister is important to you.
