Palliative care

Palliative care is a type of medical care that helps people who have a serious or life-threatening illness to feel better. It is different from treatment that tries to cure the illness. Palliative care focuses on providing relief from symptoms (such as pain), stress, and other problems that can come from living with the illness. It is for people of any age and at any stage of the illness. The goal is to help provide the best quality of life for both the patient and their family. Palliative care aims to improve quality of life and take care of physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
