ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Panentheistic

Okay kiddo, imagine the universe is a big pizza. And imagine this pizza has a sauce, cheese, and toppings. Panentheism is like thinking that the sauce and toppings are still part of the pizza, even though they may also be separate from the pizza.

Panentheistic means that everything in the universe, like mountains, animals, people, and even the air we breathe, are all part of a greater being or consciousness, like a giant pizza. However, this greater being or consciousness is also more than just the sum of its parts. It's like the pizza is part of a bigger kitchen that lets it be created and baked, but also the kitchen itself is more than just the pizza.

Some people believe that this greater being or consciousness is a god-like presence, others believe it's just the universe itself. But the important thing to remember is that everything in the universe is important and connected, like all the ingredients on a pizza.
