ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Panomics

Panomics is like building a giant puzzle with all different shapes and sizes of pieces.

Imagine you have a big box filled with puzzle pieces that are all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Some of them might be really small, while others are big and bulky.

Now, each of those puzzle pieces is like a different part of our body or our genes, and scientists use panomics to try and understand all of those different parts and how they work together.

So they gather up all of those puzzle pieces (genes or parts of our body), and they fit them together to make a complete picture of how everything works.

This helps scientists learn more about things like how diseases work and how we can prevent or treat them. By putting together all of these little pieces, they can better understand the bigger picture of our bodies, making it easier to take care of ourselves and stay healthy.
