The Paradox of the Heap is a paradox that asks if a big enough heap of sand can still be called a "heap". The paradox is asking if a pile or "heap" of sand is still a heap if you keep taking away or adding sand. This is a paradox because if the heap gets too small, then it isn't a heap anymore, but if it gets too big, it's still called a heap. In other words, it is impossible to figure out exactly what size a heap needs to be in order to still be a heap.
