ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Paraliterature

Paraliterature means books or stories that aren't considered "real" literature by some people. They're still fun to read, but they're not taken as seriously as "real" books.

Think of it like this: you might have a toy car, but it's not a real car like the ones you see on the road. It's just for fun and play. Similarly, paraliterature is like the toy car - it's still enjoyable, but it's not as important or serious as "real" books.

Some examples of paraliterature are comic books, romance novels, and sci-fi stories. They might not be studied in school like classic literature, but they can still be entertaining and enjoyable to read.

So in summary, paraliterature is like the fun toys you play with, while "real" literature is like the grown-up stuff that's more serious and important. But just because it's not "real" literature doesn't mean it's not worth reading!
