Paraprosdokian

Paraprosdokian is a type of figure of speech. It involves surprising statements, words or phrases that are used for humorous, dramatic or unexpected effect. It usually starts with a statement, but then ends in an unexpected and funny way. For example: "I am so poor, I can't even pay attention!" That phrase has a normal beginning, but then ends in an unexpected and funny way.
