ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Parchive

Okay kiddo, imagine you drew a picture and someone accidentally spilled a glass of water on it. That would be really sad, right? You might think your picture is ruined forever! But what if I told you there was a way to fix it?

That's kind of like what parchive does. It's a system that helps you fix files that have been damaged or lost.

Basically, parchive creates little pieces of a file called "par files." These tiny files each contain a little bit of information from the original file.

So if something happens to the original file, like it gets corrupted or lost, you can use the "par files" to fix it! They work kind of like puzzle pieces that fit together to recreate the original picture - or in this case, the original file.

So next time you draw a picture or save an important file, remember that there's a way to fix it if something goes wrong - thanks to parchive!
