ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

company law

Company law is like the rules for playing a game. There are different laws for different kinds of games (like board games, card games, etc.) but for companies it's a set of rules that tell them what they can and cannot do. Companies have to follow these rules when they are making business decisions or taking certain actions. For example, they have to obey safety laws and follow certain regulations. It's important that companies follow these laws so they can run their business in a fair and orderly way and make sure everyone involved is treated equally.
