Parity (physics)

Parity (in physics) is a way of looking at how things fit together. It's like a puzzle! When a shape or an object has parity (which means 'equal'), it means that all the pieces fit together perfectly - like a jigsaw puzzle. That means that when you look at the shape from one side, it looks the same from any other side. For example, a cube has parity, because no matter what side you look at it from, it will always look like a cube!
