Molecular symmetry

Molecular symmetry is like playing with building blocks like Lego. You start off with a certain arrangement of pieces. That arrangement can be symmetrical. For example, if you make a circle out of Lego pieces, it will look the same no matter which direction you turn the circle. That's because the arrangement of pieces is the same, so it looks the same. When we talk about molecules, they can be made up of different atoms. And just like our Lego pieces, their arrangement can be symmetrical. So if you look at it from different angles, it will look the same.
