ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Partial cloning

Partial cloning is when you take a part of something and make a copy of it. You know how you can make a copy of a drawing by tracing just a part of it on a new piece of paper? That's like partial cloning.

Scientists use partial cloning to create new organisms or animals that have some of the same traits as the original. They do this by taking a cell from the original organism and using it to make a new one. They can choose which trait they want to copy and then make a clone with just that trait.

It's kind of like magic, but it's really just the power of science! Scientists can use partial cloning to create healthier animals or even to bring back animals that are now extinct. But it's really important for people to think carefully about the consequences of cloning and make sure it's done ethically and responsibly.
