Participant observer

A participant observer is someone who studies a group or situation by being part of it. They watch what people do and listen to what they say, so they can learn more about how that group or situation works. Being a participant observer is like being a detective, only you are studying people instead of investigating a crime. The participant observer has to act like they are part of the group they are studying, so they can understand what the group is like. They can then use this information to write reports or make changes that may help the group in some way.
