ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Particle size

Particle size is a measurement of how small or big something is. For example, if you have a spoonful of sugar, then each individual sugar grain is called a particle and the size of each grain is the particle size. Some particles are so small that you can't even see them without a special microscope. But some particles are bigger than a grain of sugar, like small rocks or pieces of sand. We measure particle size to compare how small or big something is.
