Patient dumping

Patient dumping is when someone who needs medical help gets turned away or left somewhere other than a hospital emergency room. This can happen when they don't have health insurance or can't pay for their medical care, or sometimes even if they have a mental illness or are homeless. It's not okay for hospitals or medical facilities to do this. They're supposed to help people who need medical help, no matter what. Imagine if you fell down and got hurt really bad, but the doctor wouldn't help you because you didn't have enough money. That wouldn't be fair, right? That's why patient dumping is a very bad thing.
