ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pay it forward

Okay, so you know how when you do something nice for others, it makes them feel happy? Well, Pay it Forward is like doing that nice thing for someone, but instead of them doing something back for you, they do something nice for someone else!

It's like a chain reaction of kindness. If everyone did something nice for the next person, then eventually, everyone will feel happy and loved, and the world will be a nicer place.

For example, let's say you help an old lady cross the street. She might then give a compliment to a cashier at the grocery store, who then decides to volunteer at an animal shelter, and so on. It's all about spreading kindness without expecting anything in return.

So, next time you have a chance to do something nice for someone, do it! You never know how far your little act of kindness can go. And who knows, maybe someone will pay it forward to you one day!
