Pazuzu

Pazuzu is a scary creature that comes from a place called Mesopotamia. Picture a big scary monster with wings, horns, and sharp claws. He's got a human face, but it's all twisted and angry looking. Kind of like the monsters from your favourite cartoons, but much scarier.

Long ago, people in Mesopotamia believed that Pazuzu was a demon who brought bad luck and caused people to get sick. They would make statues of him to try and scare him away. They thought that if they had a statue of Pazuzu, he wouldn't bother them because he would think that they already had him around.

Now, Pazuzu may seem very nasty, but he was actually very powerful. People believed that he could protect them from other evil spirits and demons. They would even wear little amulets with his picture on them for protection.

So, while Pazuzu might seem scary, people actually believed that he could help protect them from even scarier things. Just remember to be brave and stay away from any real-life monsters!
