Peak Oil

Peak Oil is an idea that says that one day soon, there will be a peak or top in how much oil we can get out of the ground. Oil is a very important energy source that makes the cars, planes, and other machines we use everyday run. After the peak, it may be very hard to get enough oil to make all of our machines work, so it is important to find ways to use less oil or that use other types of energy. There are lots of scientists who are looking for new ways to help us use less oil, so that we never have to reach a peak in oil production.
