Peanut Corporation of America

Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) was a company that made peanut products, like butter and butter products. In 2008, PCA had to close down because it was found that their products were causing people to get sick. Some of the ingredients they used in their products were not clean and were making people sick. It was also discovered that they had not been keeping their equipment and production factories clean, which was making things worse. So, PCA had to close down. This was bad news, since a lot of people ate their peanut products. The good news is that now companies have to be very careful about what chemicals and other ingredients they use in their products, and they have to keep their production factories extra clean - just in case!
