Peasants' rights are rights given to people who work on land that is owned by someone else. They often include things like the right to use the land to grow their own food and the right to keep some of the crops they grow. In some olden times, peasants were also given other rights, like the right to hunt on the land or fish in rivers near the land. These rights called "farming customs" were important to the peasants who relied on them to make a living.
