Pedotransfer function

A pedotransfer function (PTF) is a way of predicting something based on what has already been seen. It is like a shortcut to finding an answer. For example, if you know how much water is in a cup, you can use a PTF to guess how much more will fit in the cup. This saves you from having to measure the cup over and over again.
