Pentecost

Pentecost is a special day in the Christian religion where people celebrate the Holy Spirit coming to Jesus' followers. It's like a birthday for the church!

A long time ago, after Jesus went to heaven, his followers gathered together in a room to pray. Suddenly, a loud wind filled the room and tongues of fire appeared above their heads. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages.

This was really cool because people from all over the world were visiting Jerusalem at the time and they could hear Jesus' followers speaking in their own languages. Everyone was amazed and some even became believers in Jesus.

Today, Christians celebrate Pentecost with special worship services and traditions like wearing red and eating special foods. It's a reminder of how the Holy Spirit helps us connect with God and share His love with others.
