Percy Erskine Nobbs

Percy Erskine Nobbs was a very smart and talented person who lived a long time ago. He was born in 1875 in a place called Haddington in Scotland. He loved drawing and making things even when he was a little boy. When he grew up, he became an architect, which means he designed and built buildings.

Nobbs was really good at his job, and he designed many important buildings in Canada and even in other countries. Some of the buildings he designed are still standing today and are very famous. One of his most famous buildings is the Royal Victoria College in Montreal, Canada. It is a big and beautiful building where many students go to study.

Nobbs also loved teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. He became a professor at a university in Montreal called McGill University. He taught many students about architecture and helped them become good architects too.

Apart from buildings, Nobbs also designed other things that are inside buildings. He designed furniture, which means he made drawings and plans for chairs, tables, and other things we use at home and in schools. He wanted people to be comfortable and happy when they used the things he designed.

Nobbs was a very important person in the world of architecture, and many people admired him for his work. He was known for his attention to detail and making sure everything was just right. He also cared about preserving historical buildings, which means he wanted to make sure old buildings weren't destroyed and could still be enjoyed by people in the future.

Sadly, Percy Erskine Nobbs passed away in 1964, but his legacy still lives on. His buildings and designs continue to inspire architects and make people happy. His work is a reminder that with hard work and passion, we can create amazing things that will last for many years to come.
