Perioperative

Perioperative care is the care a person receives before, during, and after a surgery. Before a surgery, doctors and nurses talk to the patient about the surgery, and make sure they are ready for it. During the surgery, doctors and nurses check on the patient to make sure they're safe, and they help the doctor doing the surgery. After the surgery, doctors and nurses help the patient recover, and make sure they are feeling ok. Perioperative care is important to make sure that surgeries go smoothly and that the patient stays safe.
