Persecution of Christians in the post–Cold War era

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people believe in different things, like some people believe in Santa Claus and some people don’t? Well, some people believe in something called Christianity, which is when they believe in a man named Jesus and his teachings.

Now, after the Cold War ended, which was a big argument between two big countries, some people started to treat Christians badly. They did things like hurt them, take away their freedom, and even killed them just because they believed in Jesus.

This is called persecution, which means to treat someone badly or harm them just because of what they believe in. It’s not fair and it’s not okay to treat people badly just because of what they believe in, but unfortunately some people still do it.
