Persian rug

A Persian rug is a special kind of carpet that comes from a place called Persia, which is now called Iran. It is famous for being very beautiful and made by hand, which means that a person sits down with some special tools and weaves together individual threads to create a pattern or picture.

Sometimes, the patterns are very complicated and have lots of different colors, like flowers or geometric shapes. Other times, they might be simpler and just have one or two colors. Persian rugs are made with natural materials like cotton or wool, which means they are soft and feel nice when you step on them.

Because Persian rugs are made by hand, they can take a really long time to make. Some of them can even take years! But when they are finished, they are very special and can last for a really long time if they are taken care of properly. People like to put Persian rugs in their homes and offices to make the space look beautiful and cozy.
