The persoz pendulum is a device that scientists use to measure how thick a liquid is. Imagine you were holding a jar of honey and you couldn't see inside to know how thick it was. You could use a persoz pendulum to figure it out!
The pendulum looks like a long thin piece of metal with a little ball on one end. Scientists dip the ball into the liquid and let it hang down like a tiny swing. Then they lift it back up and time how many swings it takes for the pendulum to stop moving. The more swings it takes, the thicker the liquid is.
It's kind of like when you push someone on a swing. If you push them really hard, they'll go back and forth for a longer time than if you only give them a little push. That's how the persoz pendulum works!
