Once upon a time, a very long time ago, there were two countries called Peru and Bolivia. They were neighbors and sometimes friends, but they also had some big problems. They both had some fights with other countries, and they didn't always have enough money to take care of their people.
One day, some people from both countries got together and said, "Hey, we have an idea! What if we become one big country called the Peru-Bolivian Confederation?" They thought that if they joined forces, they could be stronger and happier.
So, they talked about it for a while and eventually, they made it official. They brought their two countries together and made one big Peru-Bolivian Confederation. They had a president who helped make laws and a symbol that represented both countries.
At first, things seemed good. People from both countries were working together and trading with each other. But then, a big problem started to happen. Some people from Bolivia were getting unhappy because they felt like they weren't getting treated as well as the people from Peru. They started to protest and make trouble.
The president of the Confederation tried to fix things, but it wasn't working. More and more people were getting angry and fighting each other. Finally, after a few years, the Confederation broke apart and Peru and Bolivia became two separate countries again.
That's the story of the Peru-Bolivian Confederation. It was an interesting experiment, but it didn't work out in the end. Maybe someday, Peru and Bolivia will find another way to work together and be friends.
