Phenomenology (architecture)

Phenomenology in architecture is the study of how we experience and perceive buildings and spaces. It's like thinking about how a house looks and feels when you walk inside it.

When we go inside a building, our senses tell us a lot of things. We can feel the temperature of the room, smell the air, hear the sounds of people talking or things moving, and see the light and shadows. All of these things make us have thoughts and feelings about the building and the space we're in.

Architects who focus on phenomenology want to create spaces that feel good to people. They think about the way the building is designed to make people feel a certain way. For example, if they want a room to feel cozy, they might make it smaller and use warm colors and soft fabrics. Or, if they want a room to feel spacious, they might use tall ceilings and lots of natural light.

Phenomenology in architecture is all about thinking about how people experience and feel in a space, and designing buildings and spaces that make people happy and comfortable.
