Philippine Airlines Flight 434 was an airplane that was supposed to fly from Manila, Philippines to Narita International Airport in Japan on December 11, 1994. However, something very bad happened on the plane. A man named Ramzi Yousef, who was not supposed to be on the plane, had secretly put a bomb on board before everyone got on.
When the plane was in the air and flying over the ocean, the bomb exploded. The explosion was very big and caused a lot of damage to the airplane. It also killed one person and injured many others. The pilots had to work very hard to land the plane safely in Okinawa, Japan.
After the bomb exploded, investigators found that the bomb was made with a liquid that was hard to detect. They also found out that the man who put the bomb on the plane was part of a group of terrorists who wanted to hurt people.
Even though this was a very scary and sad event, the pilots did an amazing job of safely landing the plane and taking care of everyone on board. People remember this event as one of the worst terrorist attacks on an airplane.
