ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Phoenix Election Riot

Okay kiddo, so sometimes when people vote and they don't all agree with each other, they might get really upset and start to do things that aren't very nice. That's what happened during the Phoenix election riot.

Some people were really angry that one person won the election, and they started to gather together to protest. But instead of protesting peacefully, some of the people started to do things like break windows and destroy buildings.

The police tried to stop them, but it was hard because there were so many people and they were really upset. Eventually, after a lot of chaos and danger, the police were able to get things under control and the rioters were arrested.

It's important to remember that even if we don't agree with something, we should never hurt people or damage property. We need to find peaceful ways to express our opinions and work together to make our voices heard.
