Photosensitive glass

Well kiddo, have you ever seen those cool glasses that change colors when you go outside? That's what photosensitive glass is!

You know how your skin can get darker in the sun? That's because the sun has something called UV rays that can change the way things look. Well, photosensitive glass is kind of the same thing, but instead of changing your skin, it changes the glass.

Photosensitive glass has this special chemical inside of it that reacts to UV rays. When the glass is exposed to UV rays, the chemical inside it changes and makes the glass appear darker. It's like magic!

But don't worry, when you go back inside where there isn't any UV rays, the glass will eventually go back to its normal color again.

It's pretty cool, huh? And in the grown-up world, photosensitive glass is used in things like sunglasses, car windows, and even in space shuttles to protect astronauts from the sun's harmful UV rays.
