Phylogenetics

Phylogenetics is all about tracing the relationships between living things. It's like a family tree, but instead of just showing who is related to who, it also shows how things are related to each other. Basically, it shows how different species of things are connected to each other, like how we're all related to monkeys. So if you wanted to figure out whether cats or dogs are more closely related to monkeys, you'd use phylogenetics to figure it out!
