Physician-scientist

A physician-scientist is someone who is both a doctor and a scientist. Doctors help people feel better and stay healthy, while scientists do research to find out new things. A physician-scientist tries to combine the two, so they can use the knowledge of a doctor to help inform the research of a scientist. They might use what they learn from their patients to inform their research, so they can learn more about illnesses and find treatments to make people better. They may also use their research findings to help improve their patients' care by developing new medications or therapies.
