Pichelsteiner

Pichelsteiner is a kind of stew that comes from Germany. Imagine you have a big pot on the stove - this is where we are going to make the Pichelsteiner. First, we put in some potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery. These are all kinds of vegetables that are good for you!

Next, we are going to put in some meat - usually beef, pork, and sometimes also some sausages. We cook all of this together, so the meat gets nice and tender and the vegetables get soft and flavor-filled.

Now, what really makes Pichelsteiner special is that we also add some pickles and sour cream to the pot. Pickles are these crunchy vegetables that are a little bit sour, and sour cream is a creamy sauce that also tastes a little bit sour. Together, they make the Pichelsteiner taste tangy and yummy.

We let everything cook together for a few hours, until it's all hot and delicious. Then, we can scoop it out into bowls and eat it with some bread on the side. Yum! Pichelsteiner is a warm, hearty meal that's perfect for a cold day, and it's really good for you too because of all the vegetables in it.
