Picketing (protest)

Picketing is when a group of people gather outside a building or place to protest. They hold signs with messages on them, like "stop polluting" or "fair wages." The people stand outside and try to convince others to agree with their message. It's like when you and your friends stand outside your friend's house with signs that say "we miss you" and sing songs until they come outside. But instead of missing a friend, they want people to change something they don't like, like when you ask your parents for an extra cookie. The picketing people have a message they want to share and hope to make enough noise so that people will listen and make a change.
