Pie floater

A pie floater is a yummy food that comes from a place called Australia. First, imagine a delicious pie, like the kind that your mom makes for you sometimes. Now, instead of putting the pie on a plate, picture putting a big scoop of mash potatoes on a plate and then putting the yummy pie upside down right on top!

So now you have mashed potatoes and pie together in one dish. Then, you add a special kind of soup called pea soup all around the plate and voila, you have a pie floater! It's called a “floater” because the pie floats on top of the soup.

It's like having three different foods in one dish – pie, mash potatoes and pea soup – Yum! Just be careful, it can be a bit messy when you eat it with a spoon. But, it's a favorite of many people in Australia, especially when it’s cold outside – it's like a warm hug on a plate.
