Pineapple Express

Pineapple Express is a type of weather phenomenon. It is when warm and humid air from tropical places like Hawaii move into the Pacific Northwest United States. These air masses bring lots of rain and strong winds to the region. This kind of weather is called a “pineapple express” because the warm and wet air from the tropics reminds people of the look and smell of a pineapple. Pineapple expressions can be very powerful storms, bringing lots of rain and strong winds over a short period of time.
