Pink triangle

Okay kiddo, let's talk about pink triangles. During a very sad chapter in history, a lot of people were being hurt because of who they were and who they loved. Among them were gay people, who were being persecuted and even killed.

To help identify these people, the Nazis made them wear symbols, like badges, with different shapes and colors. One of those symbols was a pink triangle. If you were gay and you were caught by the Nazis, you would be forced to wear that pink triangle so everyone could see who you were.

Now, many years later, the pink triangle has become a symbol of pride and resistance for LGBTQ+ people. It reminds us of the struggles and the injustices of the past, and tells us that we still have a long way to go before everyone can be accepted and loved for who they are.
