Pitch interval

Pitch interval is like the distance between two notes on a musical scale. Think of a ladder with steps going up or down. Each step is like a pitch interval. Just like how the distance between the first and second steps of a ladder is the same as the distance between the second and third steps, the distance between different notes on a musical scale is also the same. Some intervals sound happy or pleasant, while others sound sad or tense. Just like how grandma might tell you to step carefully on the ladder so you don’t fall, musicians need to pay attention to pitch intervals so they can create the right mood in their music.
