Place and route

Place and route is like a puzzle game. In this game, you have to fit all the pieces of the puzzle together. Let's pretend you are playing with a jigsaw puzzle. The pieces are the pieces of your electronic circuit, like wires and microchips. You have to decide how to arrange these pieces so that they fit together perfectly and make a complete circuit. Place and Route is a process that helps you do just that — it places the pieces in just the right way so that they fit together and then it routes the pieces (like following a map) to connect all the pieces together. Place and Route makes sure that the circuit works properly and efficiently.
