Plain folks

Have you ever seen someone wearing really fancy clothes or driving a fancy car and thought they were rich and important? Well, sometimes people in power or with lots of money want to seem like regular, ordinary people like you and me. They want to be relatable so that we feel like they understand our problems and can help. When people in power or with lots of money try to seem like regular people, we call that "plain folks." It's like they're trying to be simple and down to earth, just like us. But even if they dress plainly or talk like regular people, they might still have a lot of power and money that make them different. So it's important to remember that even if someone seems "plain," they might still not be just like us.
