Platonic Naturalism is an idea that says that the physical world as we know it is made up of a single underlying reality, but that this reality is more like the ideas of Plato than the laws of physics. In other words, it suggests that reality is made up of more than just matter and energy, like Plato said it was. Plato thought that there were different realities, including a world of perfect forms, higher truths, and eternal truths which exist outside of our physical universe. Platonic Naturalism suggests that this higher reality exists as well and is part of what makes up the natural world. In this view, everything has a deeper meaning and purpose, and understanding these higher realities can help us understand our physical world better.
